Please check the District Calendars before planning vacations and doctor's appointments.  We appreciate your child's consistant attendance!  Next year school starts on Wednesday  August 21st.  Back to School Registration will take place the week of August 12th-16th, times and dates to be announced.

The hot weather is upon us.  Don't forget to send your child to school wearing sunscreen and with a water bottle and a hat to wear at recess.  Their "sun-safety" is very important to us.  Please help your child to select cool, yet school-appropriate clothing.  Remember no flip flops or open toed shoes, no spaghetti straps, short shorts or bare tummies. We want to keep the focus on learning.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Enrollment is only for students new to BUSD.  Registration is for continuining students and will take place in August. Please call the Turner Office at 747-8390 to schedule your enrollment appointment.  You will need to have the following documents when you call to request your enrollment appointment:

• Child's original birth certificate & shot records
• Parent's 3 Proofs of Residency  (driver's license, lease/mortgage and utility bill-- no photocopies, please)
• If you have an incoming kindergartner or TK student the Kinder Assessment Questionnaire  (click to open link)

Kindergarten is for students who turn five years old on or before October 1, 2013.  BUSD is offering TK (Transitional Kindergarten) again this year for students who turn five years old between October 2nd and December 2nd, 2013.
